2 Recipes for Gallete – Grandma’s favorite cookies

The old-fashioned recipe for Gallete or Grandma’s cookies is ideal to sweeten at any time, because it is prepared quickly, and the irresistible heart-shaped cookies stay fresh for up to a week! All you need is a cake maker or mold in which to bake them.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
4 eggs,
300 ml oil,
300 g sugar,
peel of one large lemon,
250 ml milk,
600 g flour
1 baking powder.

Preparation:
Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer, then lightly add the other ingredients for the biscuits. Combine everything well and bake in a heated mold for 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture.

Recipe for Belgian Grandma’s cookies with seasonal fruit


Ingredients for 6 people:

• 400 g of flour
• 4 eggs
• 50 ml of honey
• 100 g butter
• 1 bag of baking powder
• 1 bag of baking soda
• 300 g of apples
• 5 g of salt
• 250 ml of milk
• 20 g of sugar
• 1 bag of vanilla sugar


Preparation:


Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar, vanilla sugar and butter.

Pour the mixture into the first bowl with flour, and beat the dough with a mixer.

Make solid snow from the egg whites, then add it to the breadcrumb mixture. the mixture is now ready to bake in a biscuit pan.

Serve them warm with seasonal fruit topped with honey.
